Snow Dance Anyone?

Saturday,  Club #1

Not much to report other than a 5 to 7 cm snowfall. It is definitely not looking great for the next couple of weeks, so on goes the snow dance, but getting a little tired of dancing. This body is getting a little old for that so that guy up there better give us...

Very Little Provincial Wide Grooming

Friday, Club #1

There is very limited grooming around the province due to the lack of snow and looking at the forecast it does not look great at least for the next two weeks with a little snow in the forecast and temperatures ranging from day highs of zero to night time lows of -12. Of...

Not Much Snow in the Forecast

Club #1

It has been great snowmobiling weather and more in the next week or so. The only problem is, that there isn’t enough snow. Sure there is a cover from 4 to 8 inches, but this isn’t enough, even on our big roads that are easy to groom. Now for people that don’t understand what a...

Test Run Yesterday

Ron was out testing the snow conditions on Tuesday between Rogers Lake and Red Pine Shelter, up the 507 and Trail 22. Conditions on snow depth are at a bare minimum of 6 to 8 inches, of which when compacted can barely make great conditions.. Folks, we need more snow ad the forecast is not great in that regard.

Are We going to be Grooming Soon

Jan 5  Club #1

Ron has the #2 in position at Rogers Lake and is ready to go.  There is one thing I can say about the area between there and Serpentine is that it can snow at anytime.  According to the forecast we are seeing snow this week. How much is the question.

Snow Coming this Week ?

It looks promising for some snow this week. There may be some sprinkles of snow in the Bathurst, but there is a good chance that you will see more in the higher elevations. This includes Rogers Lake all the way to Serpentine. Let us keep our fingers crossed for some snow.

A Little More Snow Yesterday

Sunday, Jan 3rd, Club #1

With a little more snow on the ground it does add a bit of encouragement to our season, which was a disastrous turn around in our so so start-up on the 15th. We need at least 20 more cm out of Rogers Lake. Hopefully we can see this happening by the end of this week.

There was...

An Inch of Snow Here, An Inch of Snow There

Saturday Jan 2nd, Club #1

Good morning and I'm hoping everyone had a opening to what I hope is a better year. O      It looks like the mild weather is behind us for now. With last week’s 25 mm of rain drained off by now and a few snowflake days and looking for...

Looking For a BIG DUMP

Tuesday, Dec 29th, Club # 1

It looks like the weather is up and down with temperatures swinging from negatives and positives with dribbling of snow here and there. At this time we need an extreme dump to get back in the game.     V

Starting Over

Monday, Dec 28th, Club #1

We are waiting for a good freeze and then if we can get more snow shortly, that would put us right back in the game. Looking back, we’ve had similar years in 09-10, 10-11 and 11-12. But there isn’t much snow in the forecast. We did get a few centimeters late Saturday, so we can call...
