There was a flurry of ticket selling up until 5 PM yesterday, but unfortunately we did not reach our goal of 1000 tickets. However, we do feel that it was a great success. Thanks to all that participated. We have the final number at exactly 8700 tickets sold, therefore we will be drawing it as noted on the ticket "In the event that less than 1000 tickets are sold, the draw will revert to a 50/50 draw 50% of the total to the prize winners and 50% to the club including expenses".

example: First prize $25000.00 X 87% = $21750.00 as a prorated payout., Second Prize $10000.00 X 87% = $8700.00 and so on for all others.

We’ll be having the draw today at 12 noon at Bathurst City Hall

Update 6.10 AM: -2 currently in Bathurst with a very mild sprinkle of freezing rain (barely noticeable). This will clear off by noon and it should be decent weather from there on. Ron had the #2 out of the Atlantic Host last night on Trail 19 and 23 to Nepisiguit lodge. At post it is about ½ hour on its return trip to the Host. The #1 just finished its run on trail 23 from Rogers Lake to Nepisiguit and back. Looking at the provincial grooming map, we were 2 out of 7 groomers on the trails last night.

There was a 10 CM snowfall last night and considering these facts: Heavy traffic on the trails plus the fact that the temps are supposed to be nearing +4 with some rain, Ron decided to put the groomers out last night. Where it if had not been for the above factors, we would have left them parked until tonight. I will give an update later on the grooming.

I will also be posting an update on the 50/50 lottery at 10 AM. We are still tabulating all the tickets sold and we have a rough estimate that of just under 870 of the 1000 tickets were sold. Read that stipulation on your ticket.
