Yesterday's Grooming

Before I get into grooming, the Nepisiguit Snowmobile Club would like to thank Gilles Basque Sales Auto Parts Plus for sponsoring another successful Wings Night last night at our Lodge. It was well attended and also we want to thank all for patronizing last nights event.

In last nights grooming we had two groomers out from Nepisiguit and Rogers Lake. They double groomed from Nepisiguit on Trail 23 to Rogers Lake, Nine Mile Shelter on Trail 22 north to our turnaround, 507 California Loop, Forty Cluster and Nine Mile Clusters. Plus earlier in the day we groomed the Mount Fronsac Loop 550. I was also speaking with Alyre at Serpentine and he said they got about 4 inches snow over Wednesday night and Thursday morning. The Trails off of Trail 42 are getting much better with the recent snowfalls, specifically the Trails out of Doaktown and Trail 58 out of Blackville heading to the Serpentine and Christmas Mountains. The Miramichi club did the 52 and that trail has improved immensely. The Peninsula clubs are also working hard on Trails 19 and 23 and those trails are also approaching 10/10. The Chaleur Club has been also doing a very good job with Trails 19 up into Island lake and Trail 22.

On Saturday Rogers Lake will be hosting the 28th Annual Danny Burger run with all proceeds going to Club #1 in support of trail grooming.

Avant de parler du damage des pistes, le Club de motoneige de Nepisiguit tient à remercier Gilles Basque Sales Auto Parts Plus pour le succès de la soirée Wings Night d'hier soir à notre chalet. L'événement a connu une forte participation et nous remercions également tous les participants.

Hier soir, deux dameuses sont parties de Nepisiguit et de Rogers Lake. Elles ont damé la piste 23 de Nepisiguit à Rogers Lake, la piste 22 au nord de Nine Mile Shelter jusqu'à notre point de retournement, la boucle 507 California, le secteur Forty Cluster et le secteur Nine Mile Cluster. Plus tôt dans la journée, nous avons damé la boucle 550 du mont Fronsac. J'ai également discuté avec Alyre de Serpentine, qui m'a indiqué qu'il était tombé environ 10 cm de neige entre mercredi soir et jeudi matin. Les pistes partant de la piste 42 sont en bien meilleur état grâce aux récentes chutes de neige, notamment celles partant de Doaktown et la piste 58 partant de Blackville en direction des monts Serpentine et Christmas. Le club de Miramichi a aménagé le sentier 52, qui s'est considérablement amélioré. Les clubs de la Péninsule travaillent également d'arrache-pied sur les sentiers 19 et 23, qui sont eux aussi en voie d'être impeccables. Le club de Chaleur a aussi réalisé un excellent travail sur le sentier 19 jusqu'au lac Island et sur le sentier 22. Samedi, Rogers Lake accueillera la 28e édition de la course Danny Burger, dont tous les bénéfices seront reversés au Club n° 1 pour soutenir l'entretien des sentiers.
