Usually I’ve stressed the issue of safety on the trails and it is about time that we bring this topic to the front. Fortunately we have been spared a fatal accident this year in New Brunswick, but that goes without saying that we’ve had a share of accidents. With increasing traffic we should always be aware that there are othe sledders out there that are using these trails so keep a few safety tips in your mind while sledding. Keep the speed down where you are in control, Stay on your side, Safe distance between sleds, Stay out of the snow dust where you have total visibility, and use your common sense. I’ve attached my version of the accident Pyramid. Let’s keep it well below the top.
