Tuesday, Jan 4th, 2022, Club #1 Ron did a number on the trail 23 between the Nepisiguit Lodge and Nine Mile East Yesterday. Repaired two major water courses and now it’s 100% improved over the previous days. So if anyone wants to drop off at the lodge, there should be decent running from there. Now if the weather forecast can hold through this week, then that could make a major difference with grooming below the lodge to Bathurst. Most other trails are very good. Bryan ran from the Rogers Lake Lodge to Governors late yesterday and Jacob will take over and run the California Loop. Roger will rerun the trail 23 today and over Trail 503 to Trail 19 Simpson Fields.
The overall trail system is still lacking groomed connections from the Peninsula via 19, 23 and 48 along with 52 from the Miramichi. Hopefully with this snow we get this week will change this. ((((My eyes on the Trail from Gary: Hello Don. Ron went through the trail he realized what shape it was in. Well this morning he fixed that trail from the lodge to nine mile. I sent him a text tonight thanking him for doing such a good job fixing. Antonio and I went for sled drive this afternoon, out through Austin Brook, then shady lane down to Rogers lake and around the California loop. All trails where good to very good. The guys are doing great job on Nepisiguit trails. PS Can not under stand why Mt Carlton park are not grooming, they have more snow than anywhere and their trails are terrible. ))))
