Could be a Good Weekend for Sledding

Hard to believe that we are in the final two days of January. This could be another great weekend for sledding. Get out in that Coved Free Air. We had the groomers out yesterday and one last night. As you noted in Friday’s post due to the lack of good grooming snow on Trail 19 from the Host to East Bathurst and Bass River we moved the #2 groomer to Nepisiguit Falls. These trail are perfectly doable and were groomed for the last time on Wednesday night. These trails are too hard on our equipment and this is the reason for stopping until we get some good snow.

Spoke with Brian at the lodge last night and he said the trails were awesome yesterday except a few spots leaving the lodge, but he said just take your time through the rough spots and yes, 99% of the sledders realize this. On safety we recommend everyone to take care out there and ride sensibly. In these Coved of times it will not be a good scene for anyone involved in an accident miles from nowhere.
