I was looking at last year's trail reports and and it is worth noting, that we were shut down on March 28th. Also at that time there were many trails showing bare spots. So April 3rd was our last day of operating the lodge, which is not out of the question for being shut down due to lack of snowmobile traffic.

As well, I noted from last year's trail report, that we had not groomed beyond April 1st of last year. Also the trails from East Bathurst plus the trail from Bathurst we're shut down well before the 28th of March. Looking back further on last year's report the trail from East Bathurst and the Atlantic Host was shut down as well and sometimes these trails were down well before March 15th. Having said this, the trail from the Atlantic Host and East Bathurst are still passable and we are looking to groom it on Monday night, so consider this a BONUS.

Grooming last night saw the #2 groomer go from Nepisiguit Lodge to Rogers Lake Lodge on Trail 23, then back to Nepisiguit. There is still a good sledding out of Bathurst. How long is this going to last you say, well it's all up to the weatherman. Stay posted. Ron will try and have three groomers out tonight.
