We're Still on our Feet. Just Barely

+ 2 in Bathurst. Well folks we can relax as we r’cd 25 mm of rain and it is over + C since last evening and we have wind gusts in the 30’s. We were a bit fortunate when the rain was coming down as the temperatures remained at +1 so we did not lose much snow and the high today of +7 will be short lived as it will be negative by early evening. Not looking great for next week, but Ron is going to take a hard look at what is doable grooming wise. We have our groomers in position at Rogers Lake and Nepisiguit and if there is a chance to run groomers it would be out of Rogers Lake going west on 23 and north on 22, but as I said we’ll wait for Ron’s prognosis on Monday. If it is anywhere near doable we may shift Big Blue to Rogers Lake as well. This week doesn’t show any snow so we might as well complete the last minute Christmas shopping and wait to see what Santa brings after next weekend, which looks promising for the whole week unless the Grinch shows up and steels Christmas. Have a good day. I just realized this is my 16th year doing these reports, which are very important to all you folks from PEI and NS. Not to nice if you load up for a 300 to 600 Km drive and not knowing what is in store for you. will update later today.
