We're Back at it.

08:00 AM - December 26, 2019

Thursday, Dec 26th, Club #1
I’m hoping everyone had a joyful Christmas. We still recognize some issues with hard moguls just up from Governors towards Serpentine on Trail 23 that we’ll be working on this week. I was speaking with Ron and they will be breaking through the Trail 504 into the Mt Carleton Park from Governors hopefully by the weekend. We used to groom this trail years ago and now this trail has been outfitted with three new bridges so now we can pass the groomer through to Trail 19 intersection between St Quentin and Island Lake.
There is some beautiful scenery along this trail and once we can reopen the 503 (logging issues) it will make for a nice loop. Although there is a lack of snow in a lot of areas in our system, we are doing our best to get about 60 % of our trails groomed for riding. Above highway 180 towards Jacquet River and towards Dalhousie there is decent snow cover so most of those trails are good except for river crossings. Trail 58 is also still closed except beyond Smith Forks Warming shelter. Trails 19 east and west from Nepisiguit lodge are still closed as well. Trail 52 from the Miramichi is also closed. Head pond at Nepisiguit is safe to cross.
