Trails are Very Good

09:45 AM - February 13, 2020

Thursday, Feb 13th, Club #1
-4 in Bathurst this morning. The three groomers were out last night with the #1 up Piston Alley and over on the 503 to Simpson Fields on Trail 19. It then carried on Trail 19 to the Island Lake Shelter at the 19/22 intersection to Help out Club #4 Chaleur as they were having Groomer problems. The #2 groomer was out of Atlantic Host on Trail 19 up to Highway 360 and back. The #3 Big Blue was down "The Line" to the same point ( highway 360 ) and turned there and headed to Nine Mile Shelter. It is on the trail at post heading back to Nepisiguit on Trail 23. There was great reports from all sledders that trails were V Good yesterday. We’ll continue spot grooming through tomorrow and through the weekend. It looks like a beautiful weekend for snowmobiling coming up and it could be busy on the trails. Here is urging everyone to drive with safety on their mind. “Put your head in gear before turning the key”.
We’ll have the new battery into Nine Mile Shelter by this weekend to replace the stolen one. Since we’re on the subject of Nine Mile Shelter, we are going to have a rebuild of a new shelter in this location, which will take place between seasons. There is a tremendous amount of interest in really putting up a new and better shelter in this location under the guidance of our Shelter Director Tyler Mullins. There will be more on this before seasons end.
Great turnout for last night’s supper and report will come later this morning.
