The Snow Dance Worked + Update #1

Update #1 Ron has released the grooming schedule beginning tomorrow morning. Check our post early tomorrow.

Well it looks like the little snow dance we had on Saturday is working with up to 30 cm forecasted in the Bathurst area. It should be good enough to get some sledding in before Christmas. A word of caution though, is that there is severe ice under that snow until you get up near Serpentine where the conditions are better. This year we have a solid base to start with, which works in our favour. We have one groomer in place at Rogers Lake. I’m not sure what our plans are for grooming, but Ron will let us know. The lodge is still closed as we will see what to see what happens with snow, sled traffic and grooming. Brian and Joanne Dempsey are ready to pull the trigger on the lodge opening. I’m sure one will be able to sled from the lodge once the snow comes. We’ll see if the snow forecast is right. It looks like Thursday will be the test day.
