Wednesday, Mar 9th, Club #1
The #1 and 2 groomers were out last night. Mickey on the #1 went from Rogers Lake out and did the California Loop and did all the clusters on his way. Continued up the 22 to the 22/301 intersection, turned and back down to the 507, Red Pine Shelter and back to Rogers Lake. Bryan on the #2 went to the highway/Nine Mile East intersection, 502 Austin Brook Cluster, back on 23 to Trail 19 to the Host in Bathurst, fueled Jacob took over and went 19 East did the 500 and the 500 then on to Bass River and finished at the shop. Still low traffic on the trails.
Weather is picking up in temperatures as we approach Spring. It is a good thing that we got this recent 100 cm of snow in the past few weeks. Safety: Stay on the right side of the trails. If you’re sliding out to the middle on the corners, you are driving too fast.
Alyre at Serpentine Lodge asked me to relay this message to those wishing to contact his lodge in Serpentine. He is still having trouble with his phone system, so this is what he wants you to do. Write a text to him at 506-473-0397 with the info you want and he’ll get back to you via satellite phone. Be short but precise with your conversation because as you know, satellites move on until the next one appears.
