Here is a Mixed Bag for you to Chew on (pass it along)

10:00 AM - December 21, 2019

Saturday, Dec 21st, Club #1
I’m not sure where to start here this morning, but let us start with Trail 23 to Serpentine. From Nepisiguit Lodge through Rogers Lake, trail is good to go, Rogers Lake to Governor’s excelent, Governors to Serpentin, I’m calling this good, because Mickey is still on the trail at post and this was a long stint in the groomer as I’m sure he had his hands full from Gov to Serp. He should be close to Rogers Lake at post time. We ran the #2 from Nepisiguit to the Host, hoping for the best and a lot of sections are terrible and Ron is declaring this trail closed if you value your sled. We removed a lot of windfalls and fixed a few signs. We need another foot of snow out of Bathurst. Trail 22 was done by the #3 unit yesterday to trail 301 and that trail should be close to excellent. Cal loop is good to very good.
Some good news out of the federation is that they are going to allow Club #1 to groom the old 504 from Popple Depot into the park. Despite that showing green on the NBFSC map, it has not yet been groomed nor signed yet. It was our club that advocated this trail be groomed due to a logging operation on Trail 19 near Simpson Fields, which closes down Trail 19 at this section and also Trail 503 as well. Logging is supposed to cease on January 15. The Cnady Cane trail was just plouged up in the last few days and sections of Trail 58 from the Renous Highway is also plouged. All good above highway 180 on Restigouche Trails and Super Village Trails
