We're seeing increased traffic on the trails, especially on 23 and 22 on the Nepisiguit section of trails out of the Lodge and Rogers Lake. The reason of course would be the lack of snow south of Trail 23, thus the lack of groomed trails. Sledders are anxious to get out so they are trailering north and dropping on the trail system from the Nepisiguit Lodge & Rogers Lake. Our two groomers are out everyday keeping our trails up to snuff. One BIG plus is the Tracadie club groomed 23 from Tracadie, through Allardville to the 19/23 intersection on the Key Anacon road, highway 360. We never made the little connection across the Key Anacon bridge as we just found out, but I was speaking with a sledder from St. Isadore and he said it was very passable.
Last night the #2 groomed from Nepisiguit to Rogers Lake an back. There is still a big wet spot out of Rogers Lake towards the Nine Mile East roade but very passable. Not sure what happened to #1, but it didn't move last night.
On another note we had a decent two days of business at the Nepisiguit Lodge. A lot of car/truck traffic checking in for lunch plus a good feed of sleds back tracking from the trail 23 west of the lodge.
