Good morning. -7 @post. Last night the #1 groomed the Trail 22 from Rogers Lake. It will do Piston Alley today.
In the next couple of days we're going to "try" busting the trail 19 to the Atlantic Host". There isn't much snow, but the key word is try. Also make the short link on trail 23 on the Key Anacon Road (highway 360).
To say the least, this has been a very mild winter so far. Looking at the forecast, which may be a little premature, the temperatures look to be going in the right direction to get some Frost into the ground. Also I'm seeing a little bit of snow over the next couple of weeks. We seem to have enough in The High Ground, but it is closer to Bathurst is where we need more snow. We have been doing our best to keep up the trails that we are now grooming, but even those trails are still presenting a few little problems that we deal with each time we go out. I'm sure most understand the problems that each Club has with Trail issues such as water cuts. Also a big issue for clubs this year are the downed trees that we have to deal with. In most cases we deal with them with the groomer operators plus we thank all the volunteers who have helped in cleaning up.
