Another 20 to 25 CM to the Base, +Update 9.45am + Update 3.15 PM

Update 3.15 PM.: The #1 just arrived at Rogers Lake from Mt. Carleton. If you would scroll down, you'll see that Roger put in a big 26 + hours. The #1 will be back ut later with a fresh operator. The #2 just arrived at Nepisiguit from East Bathurst. It is moving west on Trail 23. It is currently +4 here in Bathurst so the grooming will be a bit sticky.

Update 9.45 am: #1 groomed from Serpentine after resting there, into mt Carleton Park via 23 and Candy Cane, fueled , and is now on trail 504 to Popple Depot and we hope everything goes well back to Rogers Lake. #2 groomer left East Bathurst and will groom to Nepisiguit then back to the Host.

Near zero here in Bathurst and it is still snowing a bit with temps hovering at zero. This snow is on the heavy and wet side with the temperatures just below freezing yesterday then nearing closer to zero by this morning and it is expected to go into the low +2 to +4 range through the afternoon, so we will wait for the cooler temps tonight where it is supposed to drop off. We were asked to help out the Park groomer, which was stuck up on the Cupid Trail. Our operator Roger Theriault left Rogers Lake on the #1 at 1 PM yesterday and spent an hour or so digging out the Park Groomer at around 10 pm last night. Both groomers then proceeded to Serpentine Lodge and arrived there at 2 AM this morning. Roger is one of our most experienced operators and is a reliable and great employee for our club. The Park is very grateful for our assistance to them. He spent some time and rest at Serpentine last night. Will update later on his progress.

We had a local business come forward with a sponsorship to our Thursday Wing Night this week. A big Thank You to Curtis Bennett of Curt’s Auto Repair who came forward and suggested on his own to sponsor this night. The wing night is a big success for us and we encourage you for your support. I’m looking forward to hearing from other businesses to sponsor or even co-sponsor with another business for the coming weeks through the end of this season.
